Put the chicken pieces in a glass baking dish.
Put all the remaining ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend until a smooth paste forms.
Pour the paste over the chicken and mix well. At this point you can cover the dish and let it marinate in the refrigerator for a few hours.
Cover the dish with foil and bake at 350 F (180 C) for about an hour. Half way through the baking time, turn the chicken pieces over and use a spoon to scoop the sauce over the chicken.
During the last 10 minutes of cooking, remove the foil to brown the chicken pieces slightly.
